Financial Aid

In 2007-08, 14,133 students applied for need-based financial aid. Of those, 12,018 were awarded some need-based scholarship or grant aid, out of which 3,152 had their calculated need fully met. The average financial aid package for full-time undergraduates was $14,899, and the average need-based scholarship and grant award was $11,336.

Many new students take on substantial financial responsibility and receive finanical support for their education. More than half of new students plan to work during college, and 33% receive Pell grants.
